This band covers anything from CCR, AC/DC, Matchbox Twenty, Peter Frampton to the Stones, ZZ Top, Pink Floyd and even Nickelback. Four southern bred rockers with roots deep into the classic rock era and beyond. While Ronnie Presley is a distant relative to the king of rock-n-roll he knows that carrying the last name means filling some big shoes. Presley has opened for recording artist Night Ranger, Buddy Jewel, Anthony Gomez and has also been sponsored by Miller Beer while he performed on the Oklahoma City circuit in the early 90‘s. In 2006 he released his first recording on CD entitled “Heaven On Earth”. The album can be found on www.iTunes.com , www.CDBaby.com and other websites like Napster.
Ronnie Presley and Guitarist/Vocalist Roger Williams started their musical journey together back in the mid 90’s and they have been in several groups together over the years.
Roger came to Presley with the name “Straight Shooter” and Ronnie loved it right away saying…. Look Out South! These guys grew up around rock-n-roll from the south and know a thing or two about what it really means to folks throughout the delta and it’s southern history. Roger and Ronnie’s guitar work and vocals together drive this band to the top of the list for must hear and see cover bands.
Ronnie has recruited Jeff Robinson on Bass guitar and Cal McHenry on drums for the bands rhythm section backbone. Both Jeff and Cal are both considered first picks for Presley’s Straight Shooter project, both having many years of experience.
These four men have been on stages and in venues all over the south with some of the best .
